Former Indian cricket player Mohammad Kaif believes that Virat Kohli could become a hero similar to MS Dhoni. He compared Kohli to Dhoni’s performance during the 2011 ODI World Cup, noting that Dhoni performed exceptionally well when it was most crucial. Kaif anticipates Kohli to deliver a similarly heroic performance in the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup. Kaif remembered how Dhoni scored an unbeaten 91 to win a game against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium and believes Kohli can do something just as impressive.
“Virat Kohli should keep in mind that even Dhoni didn’t perform exceptionally well in the 2011 World Cup, but he got into good form for the final. A little advice: He’s a very skilled player and doesn’t need to hit wildly. He can play according to the situation and take control of any bowling attack.” Kaif mentioned in a video shared on ‘X’.

“He should not think that he is not playing well. He scored a hundred when India last played South Africa in the one-day international World Cup at Eden Gardens. He played really well that day, making good shots and not just hitting the ball hard.”
