“He eats and breathe…” Robbin Uthappa Makes A Bold Prediction On Yashasvi Jaiswal Ahead Of IPL 2024

A former team India batter has made a bold prediction on Yashasvi Jaiswal.

According to Robbin Uthappa Yashasvi, he will do exceptionally well in the upcoming IPL season as he eats and breathes cricket.

Jaiswal had an incredible IPL in 2023. In the previous edition of the IPL, the southpaw scored 625 runs in 14 matches at an impressive average of 48.07 and a powerful strike rate of over 160.

After a series of impressive performances in the IPL, Yashasvi Jaiswal got the opportunity to play for Team India, becoming a regular member of the Test and Twenty20 set-up.

Speaking of Yashasvi, Jaiswal Robbin Uthappa said, “I worked closely with Yashasvi when he came into the IPL in 2020 with RR. He is a bit of a cricket nut. He is obsessed with the game. He knows nothing but cricket. He lives, breathes, and eats only cricket.”

Robbin further added,You will see him walking off randomly on the beach, talking to himself, and figuring his game out. An example of a practice session he had with the RR Academy was that he went into practice at 2 in the afternoon, finished at 12:45 at night, and just kept batting.”

Robbin Uthappa further went on to say that CSK’s prolific opener, Ruturaj Gaikwad, is a player for every format, while Dhruv Jurel can play the role of a finisher.

Uthappa said, “Another one of those for me is Ruturaj Gaikwad. He is an all-format player and should have played for India a lot more than he has, but the competition is so intense that he hasn’t played much. Another one that’s coming up the ranks is Dhruv Jurel. I really like him. He is one for the future, and I think he plays that finisher’s role with panache.”
