“He doesn’t play like…”Kapil Dev drops a bombshell on the playing style of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli

Former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev praised Rohit Sharma for his leadership skills and his ability to stay calm and composed. Kapil, who led India to victory in the 1983 World Cup, pointed out the differences between Rohit’s and Virat Kohli’s styles of captaincy. Rohit has been leading the Indian team effectively in both his captaincy and batting during the 2024 T20 World Cup. With Rohit as captain, India has made it to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup for the second time in a row. They are set to play against England in the second semi-final of the 2024 T20 World Cup at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.

Rohit’s leadership in the competition has received praise from many experts because of his smart decisions about where to place players and when to change the bowlers. Even when they faced tough times, India was able to turn things around and win. Rohit has scored the most runs for India in the tournament, with 191 runs in 6 games, averaging 38.20 and hitting at a rate of 159.17. He also scored a crucial 92 runs in a game against Australia, which helped India get to the semi-finals.

Kapil Dev said that Rohit has brought the team together as a leader and has never shown any anger on the field.

“Rohit doesn’t play like Virat, and he doesn’t move around excitedly like him. But he understands his limits, and within those limits, there’s no one better than him,” Kapil shared at an event by ‘ABP Live’.

Kapil Dev talked about Rohit’s importance and how the 37-year-old always puts the team’s needs before his own.

Many famous players focus on their own careers, even when they are captains. That’s why Rohit gets extra credit because he makes sure the whole team is happy,” Kapil explained.

India wants to get even for their loss in the T20 World Cup 2022 semi-finals against England. The England team, led by Jos Buttler, didn’t start well but got better in the Super 8 part of the tournament. Rohit will lead his team from the front, as both teams have a history of tough competition in T20 cricket.
