The young star batter from Lucknow Super Giants, Ayush Badoni, was also praised for Delhi’s star bowler, Kuldeep Yadav. Ayush Badoni made a phenomenal contribution, scoring 55 of just 35 deliveries, helping his team reach a competitive score of 167/7 against the Delhi Capitals.
In his post-match presentation, Ayush Badoni said, “The start of the season was not good, but I was doing well at the nets. So I am thankful to KL Rahul and Justin Langer for backing me and giving me a chance.”
“While I was batting, I was just thinking of taking the game deep and then attacking because if we bat till 20 overs, we can score 150 or more. I think we were 20 runs short.”.
Badoni further added, “I was quite motivated because I was batting well at the nets, so I was just backing myself; I was just waiting for the knock that came today.” Badoni said he shares a good bond with both the skipper and coach, and that has helped him improve his game.
“I spoke a lot to KL Rahul, and he backs me every time. He tells me you are the best player and you can finish well. I also share a good bond with Justin. I went to Australia last year, and there he also made me learn a few things and improve my game.”
I went to Australia in September last year, which was facilitated by LSG, where we had a training camp with Justin for 10 days, and that helped me a lot.”
Badoni further went on to praise DC’s star spinner, Kuldeep Yadav, whose bowling performance of 3/20 was the difference between the two sides.
Speaking of Kuldeep, Ayush Badoni said, “Kuldeep was bowling well. He broke our momentum.”
