Glen Maxwell Doesn’t Want Suryakumar Yadav To Play In BBL, Know The Hilarious Reason

In his prime, Suryakumar Yadav has been playing consistently for India in T20 Internationals over the past few months. He also recorded two centuries in the shortest format this year. The most recent one was against New Zealand, and the first one was in July against England.

Star Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell heaped admiration on Yadav’s purple patch, saying that Cricket Australia (CA) just cannot afford to have the middle-order wonder in the Big Bash League (BBL). According to Maxwell, if Yadav needs to be accommodated in the Australian league, all of the players would need to be let go in order to get the necessary funds to sign him.
In the popular podcast The Grade Cricketer, Glen Maxwell said, “We do not have enough money in our cap to buy Suryakumar Yadav. Cricket Australia will have to sack every player, even the centrally contracted ones to gather the money and hope that he agrees.”

He added, “He is frustratingly consistent. Yadav is so much better than everyone else. No player in the Australian side or even in the world comes close to him. Sometimes in the IPL, Jos Buttler comes close to him, but SKY is on a different level. He is stupidly consistent.”

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has explicitly forbidden Indian cricketers from taking part in international franchise leagues as of right now.

Suryakumar Yadav has been praised for his consistency in Twenty20 cricket, and it has been suggested that India will favour him for the forthcoming two-Test series in Bangladesh, which begins on December 14.

He may be chosen in the all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja’s place, who is still recovering from a knee injury.

Glenn Maxwell, on the other hand, was at a friend’s birthday celebration a few weeks earlier when he awkwardly hurt his leg. He underwent effective surgery for it, and then the healing process got under way.

Maxwell is anticipated to be sidelined indefinitely due to the leg injury.
