“Fresh Virat Still….” RCB’s skipper faf du plessis big statement on Virat Kohli after RCB’s victory over Punjab

Royal Challengers Bangaluru have registered their first victory of the season as they beat Punjab Kings in a thrilling encounter by four wickets.

After the completion of the match, RCB’s skipper, Faf du Plessis, was all praise for former RCB skipper Virat Kohli, saying that it was commendable to see Kohli maintaining the same intensity and passion for cricket even after the break.

Virat Kohli scored a prolific 77, helping RCB get their first victory of the season. Faf du Plessis said that Virat is still quite passionate about the game and loves playing cricket.

Faf du Plessis said, “Virat was important in the way he tempoed his innings. There wasn’t a pitch where you could hit through the line. It’s good to see him; he’s always smiling and enjoying himself. I am still very passionate about playing cricket. I obviously had a nice break now, which is very important. He’s still enjoying himself and is very passionate about playing cricket. Fresh and motivated to do well.”

On being asked about that, if there was any panic when Kohli and Anuj Rawat were dismissed in quick succession,.

Du Plessis said, “No, I didn’t feel the game was gone. With the new rule, there’s an extra batter. We knew we had Mahipal coming in—he has a lot of power. Now, with the extra batter, you feel like even 14–15 rpo is gettable. Even 30 off 2 overs becomes a reality.”

Virat Kohli registered his 100th fifty-plus score in the shortest format. RCB will now lock horns with Kolkata Knight riders on March 29.
