Former Pakistani Pacer Shoaib Akhtar Slammed PCB Over Comeback Of Amir Khan

After the omission of Ramiz Raja from the Board of Pakistan Cricket, the comeback of Mohammad Amir became sensational news for every cricket expert and fan. However, Amir hasn’t provided any official statement on his comeback.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Najam Sethi addressed this matter publically and said if Amir wants to make his comeback, then he must take his retirement back. And every player can resume his international cricket journey when he has completed his penalty times.

Mohammad Amir is playing in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for Sylhet Strikers. Amir bagged 13 wickets in 10 matches and is currently the highest wicket-taker of the League.

Considering the comeback of Amir, former Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhtar lashed out at the cricketer and management for giving him a chance to Amir.

“PCB calling Mohammad Amir and asking do you want to play, in my opinion, this is not the right approach. We were also dropped in the past, and the PCB management was angry with me for almost 12 years, but this doesn’t mean I should quit. Instead, we should think about Pakistan’s requirements; this was his mistake,” Akhtar said in a Saad Sports YouTube video.

Further, Shoaib shared his thoughts about Amir and explained that he had done wrong and been punished. You had to repay your country. His performance in the pass was okay and brilliant in the Champions Trophy.

“Well, you did something wrong. Hence you were punished. You had to repay what the country gave you, and the country was expecting that from you. Until 2017 he had okay performances, followed by a brilliant show in the Champions Trophy. However, after that, there was hardly anything standard in the next 15-20 ODIs,” the former Pakistani speedster further added.
