However, there are three players in the contestant’s list Md. Siraj, Md. Shami and Shardul Thakur for the replacement of veteran pacer. But Shami has been given priority over other 2 on the basis of the experience of playing in Australia, and the rest of the two bowlers are chosen as the backup. It will be interesting to see how he will perform in the upcoming matches, because he hasn’t played any T20I games from long time. The right-hand pacer has already reached Australia and will join the squad in Brisbane ahead of the warm-up matches. His swing and Yorker deliveries will be lethal in bouncy Australian conditions.
