Faf Du Plessis Is Set To Play For CSK Owned Franchise

South African batter Faf du Plessis who had very terrific run of form during his stint with CSK from 2011-2021 will again play for the CSK owned franchise in CSA T20 league.

In this league not only CSK owner has bought the team but owners of Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants also have their teams.

The tournament is set to take place in the month of January and February next year. It is all set to coincide with new UAE based t20 league which also have IPL owners team and Big Bash League. 

According to the Cricbuzz, The Chennai Super Kings have roped in former South African National Cricket team captain Faf du Plessis as their marquee signing for their upcoming Cricket South Africa (CSA) T20 league.

CSA T20 league has asked the franchises to submit the list of 5 players under the overriding principle which must have one South African and one uncapped player and not more than two players from same country.

There is also speculation that all rounder Moeen Ali has been also signed by CSK whereas Aiden Markram is signed by Sunriser Hyderabad owned franchise and Anrich Nortje has been retained by Delhi Capitals.

Same report also suggest that Sam Curran, Liam Livingstone, Kagiso Rabada, and Rashid Khan has been signed by Mumbai Indians-owned Cape Town franchise.
