Mumbai Indians Owner Announced Two New Teams

After the huge success of IPL, every nation is going for franchise based league. In franchise based leagues, we already have IPL, PSL, BBL, BPL and CPL and from next year we will have two more entrants in form of South Africa T20 League and UAE T20 League(ILT20). These two new entrants will have teams of IPL owners and that can attract huge of sum of money in these league as well.

Reliance Industries, owned by Mukesh Ambani, is one of the investors in the upcoming T20 leagues in South Africa and UAE.

Mumbai Indians owner has bought the Cape Town- based team in the South Africa T20 league and they have purchased a team ILT20 as well.

On Wednesday(August 10) they have announced the name of both teams. The Cape Town-based franchise will be known as MI Cape Town whereas MI Emirates will be the name of their ILT20 team.

Taking to twitter, Mumbai Indians introduced the twitter handles of the both the teams and welcomed them into the family.

The Director of Reliance Industries, Mrs Nita Ambani said, “It gives me great pleasure to welcome ‘MI Emirates’ & ‘MI Cape Town’, the newest additions to our #Onefamily. For us, MI goes beyond cricket. it embodies the ability to dream, be fearless and foster a positive attitude in life. I am sure that both MI Emirates and MI Cape Town will embrace the same ethos and take MI’s global cricket legacy to even greater heights”

It will be interesting to see the response of these two franchise based league after the involvement of IPL Team owners.
