Exclusive: KL Rahul’s Journey Back To Fitness at NCA

Team India’s star batter Kl Rahul is all set to make a comeback to cricket, as the batter is on the road to recovery at the NCA ahead of the upcoming IPL season.

Rahul, who is going to lead the Lucknow Super Giants in the upcoming IPL season, provided an update regarding his recovery. He shared pictures on social media of his intense training session at the NCA.

Rahul had pulled out of the entire test series against England after the star batter suffered from a quadriceps strain in the first test match of the ongoing five-match test series against England.

Rahul recently went to London for consultation from a medical team and has returned from London. Rahul played an 86-run knock in the first test match of the series; however, he was ruled out due to injury.

There were speculations of Kl Rahul getting back into the Indian test squad for the final match of the series against England.

Nevertheless, BCCI gave an official update regarding KL Rahul’s fitness, saying, “Mr. KL Rahul, whose participation in the final IDFC First Bank Test was subject to fitness, has been ruled out of the fifth and final Test in Dharamsala. The BCCI Medical Team is closely monitoring him and coordinating with specialists in London for further management of his issue.”

Kl Rahul would be eager to return to full fitness before the start of the upcoming IPL season. His franchise, Lucknow Super Giants, is all set to take on the Rajasthan Royals in their opening encounter on March 24.
