“England Waaley Alastair Cook Ko Khila Rahe Aur Dhoni IPL Khel Raha Hai…” Former Pakistani Wicketkeeper Attacked PCB

Currently, Pakistan is playing seven matches T20I home series against England. This series is best for both teams to prepare for the upcoming world T20 World Cup 2022. Pakistan Cricket Board have already announced the squad for the mega event in Australia.

Many Pakistani legends are slamming the Pakistan cricket board for ignoring the biggest problem of the Pakistan middle order batting. Cricket pundits and experts are criticising selectors for omitting experienced all-rounder Shoaib Malik from the main squad of T20 World Cup. Shoaib Malik is an experienced and prolific player and played his last T20I in November 2021 against Bangladesh. Even Shoaib Malik expected his selection in the forthcoming tournament in Australia. He tweeted a cryptic tweet after the loss of Pakistani team in the finals of Asia Cup, “When will we come out from friendship, liking and disliking culture. Allah always helps the honest,” he wrote.

After him, former Pakistani wicketkeeper batter Kamran Akmal has criticised PCB for considering players based on their age and not on their performances. He gave an example of MS Dhoni and Alastair Cook, who have been playing their home league matches and are critical assets for their team.

“England waaley Alastair Cook ko khila rahe hai. Woh kya paagal hai? Dhoni IPL khel raha hai. Usse cricket chhode huye 2 saal ho gaye. Use koi keh raha hai ke naa khele? Humaare yaha par age ko leke pata nahi kya issue banaya hua hai. Kya Shoaib Malik ki fitness or form nahi hai? Agar woh Pakistan ke liye suitable hai toh khilaye use.” Kamran Akmal said.

He said the current management of PCB is an egoist, and they only blame player performance instead of the coaching staff. He expected that the Board would work better under the chairman Ramiz Raja but nothing has happened so.

“There is no coordination in management; they are egoistic. I have seen that all the blame is associated with players, and management doesn’t take it on themselves. The past three coaches also blamed players and didn’t accept that our decisions were wrong. Tell me when coaches have been held accountable?”

“I have hopped that there will be improvement in PCB attitude towards players because Ramiz Raja is itself a former cricketer. Raja must know the value of a players.” He added.
