Punjab Kings star spin bowler Harpreet Brar won the player of the match award for his exceptional bowling performance against the Chennai Super Kings. On being asked about his success, Mantra Harpreet Brar said he focuses more on bowling dot balls than picking up wickets.
Harpreet Brar has emerged as one of the biggest strengths of the Punjab Kings, as the star bowler has picked up six wickets in 10 matches.
Harpreet Brar gave his team much-needed impetus, picking up wickets from Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube in the very first over.
In his post-match presentation, Harpreet Brar spoke about his plans when he bowls for opponents.
Harpreet Brar said, “It was a good wicket to bowl on. Even Rahul bowled very well. I have been playing for the last six years, and my confidence has also built up. I am playing with a lot of legends. I wanted to bowl on my strengths, and things happened. I don’t think about wickets. My aim is to bowl lots of dot balls in my spell, and the dot balls create the chances. When there is spin in the wicket, the bowler’s confidence goes up.”.
The Punjab Kings will be next in action against the Chennai Super Kings on May 5 in Dharamshala.
