England’s dashing opener, Jason Roy, and Pakistan’s all-rounder, Iftikhar Ahmed, were involved in a verbal spat in the PSL during the match between the Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators.
The infamous incident occurred in the third over when David Willey trapped Jason Roy in front, and the batter was given LBW by the umpire. However, as Jason Roy was going towards Saud Shakeel for discussion of a review, he was involved in verbal spat with Iftikhar in the middle.
Before the matter got worse, both players were separated by their respective teammates. Roy was so angry after the incident that he threw his helmet in anger after getting dismissed.
Speaking about the incident One of the best players in Pakistan cricket, Wasim Akram, said, “He just gets angry unnecessarily. Jason Roy must know he is in Pakistan. He has to respect our players and our culture. Why was he angry after getting out? It was his own mistake, and his anger was useless. He does this regularly.”
On the other hand, Jason Roy recently pulled himself out of the IPL due to personal reasons. As a replacement, KKR has signed Phill Salt as a replacement for the base price of 1.5 crore.
