Veteran Indian wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik has lauded Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf among the top bowlers in white-ball cricket. It is widely known that Rauf has dedicated his effort for the Pakistan cricket team since 2020. He has performed greatly with the Pakistan Cricket Team and rest of all other T20 leagues.
The fast bowler is currently playing for Welsh Fire in ‘The Hundred’ tournament, receiving appreciation from the cricketer Dinesh Karthik. The bowler grabbed three wickets at the expense of 27 runs against Southern Brave. Dinesh Karthik has also said that it is good to see this bowler rising to fame from the infamous Pakistan Super League playing for Lahore Qalandars.
While talking to Sky Sports, Dinesh Karthik said,”Few years ago, he (Haris Rauf) was playing tennis ball cricket. Gets picked up by the (Lahore) Qalandars, becomes a part of their team, and academy and then goes on to play the league (Pakistan Super League) and then has obviously gone on to do so well for Pakistan. He is arguably one of the better white ball bowlers going around in world cricket now, especially at the death.”
Talking about the performance of Haris Rauf for the Pakistan Cricket Team, he has played 61 T20Is in which he has 83 wickets to his name, 39 wickets in 22 ODIs and just one in the single Test match.
