Delhi Capitals will take on Lucknow Supergiants on April 1 in Lucknow. Delhi did not make it into the playoffs in the last season of IPL and they finished in 5th position in IPL 2022. With the captain Rishabh Pant almost out of the IPL, Delhi will be hugely dependent on David Warner.
Rishabh Pant’s replacement as captain and player for Delhi Capitals has not yet been revealed. David Warner, who has previously captained Sunrisers Hyderabad and won them the IPL title is the front-runner to assume the captaincy responsibilities.
Since the tournament’s inception, Delhi has not won an IPL trophy. They came close in IPL 2020 but lost to Mumbai Indians in the final game.
