“Dear prime minister Modi thank you…”Virat Kohli drops a special message for PM Modi After team India’s World Cup win

Cricket player Virat Kohli expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his supportive and encouraging words following India’s victory in the T20 World Cup. Kohli mentioned that PM Modi’s encouragement has consistently helped the team remain optimistic in their pursuit of winning trophies, and this was true during their success in the Caribbean. Notably, after India won the T20 World Cup in Barbados on June 29, PM Modi had a conversation with the Indian cricket team, including captain Rohit Sharma and Kohli.

On Monday, July 1, Virat Kohli used social media to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his support. Remember, the Prime Minister had gone to the team’s changing room in Ahmedabad on November 19, 2023, to comfort the Indian players after they lost the ODI World Cup final to Australia.

“Dear Prime Minister Modi, thank you very much for your kind words and for always supporting and encouraging us. It has been an honor to be part of this team that has won the championship. We are very moved and happy to see the joy it has brought to the whole country,” Virat Kohli said.

Prime Minister Modi praised Virat Kohli for his impressive score of 76 that helped India win the final game against South Africa. Prime Minister Modi also sent his best wishes to Kohli for his future games in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Test matches, after Kohli said he would no longer play in the T20 Internationals. In his unique way, Prime Minister Modi mentioned that T20 cricket will feel Kohli’s absence.

Earlier today, Rohit Sharma replied to Prime Minister Modi’s message of congratulations with a message on social media. Both Kohli and Rohit said they were leaving the shortest version of the game after India won the championship. Coach Rahul Dravid also ended on a good note after guiding the team to victory in the West Indies.

Prime Minister Modi plans to welcome the successful Indian team soon. He always invites world champions and winners of big competitions to encourage the players.

The Indian team is still in Barbados because the hurricane, Beryl, has caused problems with flights there. Rohit Sharma and his teammates hope to return home on Tuesday if the weather in Barbados gets better.
