Team India and CSK’s pace sensation Deepak Chahar have requested that the that the media support young players. Speaking at an event, Chahar said that it’s not nice to put players down when they are starting their careers.
Chahar said, “Seeing media journalists supporting athletes is very different for me… I request that the media support athletes. Athletes shouldn’t be put down when they are young.”
Deepak’s IPL franchise has also shown a lot of faith in young players, as they have acquired the services of players like Rachin Ravindra, who had phenomenal success in the World Cup.
Along with Rachin, CSK has also picked up UP’s talented young batter, Sameer Rizvi, who has been brought by CSK for a whopping sum of 8.40 crore.
Sameer Rizvi was picked up by CSK at a huge sum. He is known for his aggressive style of play at the domestic level. After getting picked by CSK, Sameer Rizvi said that there are no words to describe what he is going through.
In an interview, Sameer Rizvi said, “This is an unreal feeling for me. I cannot describe this in words; it is too difficult for me. I’m out of words at this moment. Take time to let it sink in. Looking forward to playing for CSK.”
CSK are all set to start their IPL campaign on March 22 against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai.
