After CSK retention list announcement Young Star slams 100 in Domestic Cricket

One day after the CSK Retained Players 2026 list was revealed, the 19-year-old batting prodigy Andre Siddarth, who was not among the selected players responded exceptionally with a blazing century in the current Ranji Trophy 2025-26 season. Furthermore, he was playing for Tamil Nadu against Uttar Pradesh, the young batter scored 121(205), with 12 fours and 2 sixes.

His contribution was more significant since Tamil Nadu had lost 4 wickets for 71 runs when he joined and collaborated with Baba Indrajith to take their side to a total of 282/5.

The gifted right-handed batter was picked by CSK last season for his minimum price of INR 30 lakhs but did not get any chance to play. CSK, having finished last in the points table, were looking to do a complete makeover and released a total of 10 players on the retention deadline day yesterday (November 15) with Andre also being among those who were dropped.

Nevertheless, the young player has shown good form in this domestic season, scoring two fifties and a century in the Ranji Trophy so far. He had scored fifty earlier in the Duleep Trophy which is a plus for him going into the IPL 2026 auction.

Will the teams Show interest in the young prodigy Andre Siddharth?

The Tamil Nadu batter who towers over six feet is an extremely powerful player. The most outstanding quality of his batting is that he not only holds his cool but also has a wide variety of shots, which means he is technically sound.

Even though he has already made a mark in white-ball cricket, he is still not a tested player for IPL and there is still a power game which he has to work on. Still, the power will come as he grows and more muscles develop. His game is so good that even IPL scouts will be keen to watch him and his enormous talent will make it a certainty that there will be bidders at the auction who would be more than willing to take him under their wings as a long-term investment.

CSK Retained Players 2026:Anshul Kamboj, Gurjapneet Singh, Jamie Overton, MS Dhoni, Mukesh Choudhary, Nathan Ellis, Noor Ahmad, Ramakrishna Ghosh, Sanju Samson (Trade), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Shreyas Gopal, Syed Khaleel Ahmed, Ayush Mhatre, Dewald Brevis, Urvil Patel.
