Cricket Blow: Kyle Jamieson Out for Six Months with Back Injury”

Not many hours passed when New Zealand registered their name in the history books of cricket as they defeated South Africa in a test series by a margin of 2-0 after a long wait of 92 years.

But Newzeland suffered a huge blow as their star blower Kyle Jamison is all set to be out of action for the next six months due to a back injury.

The pace bowler was in red-hot form as he bowled a match-winning figure of 6/93 in the first test match of the series against South Africa. However, as soon as the match got over, Kyle Jamison complained of back pain, which forced him to be ruled out for the second test match of the series.

Jamison said The last few days have been my most challenging days, but I am hugely grateful for the support I’ve received from my partner, teammates, family, and support staff, as well as the medical professionals.”.

Jamison further stated that “I know injuries are part of life as a professional cricketer, and at my age, I am very hopeful that I still have many more playing days ahead of me.”

Jamison has been New Zealand’s one of the best bowlers since his debut in 2020, as he has played 19 Test for Blackcaps, picking up 80 wickets at an impressive average of 19.73.

Jamison is most likely to be replaced by another talented pace bowler, Will O Rourke, for the upcoming two-match test series, which starts in Wellington on February 29.

Will O Rourke was awarded man of the match in his debut test match against South Africa, as he delivered a match winning score of 9/93, helping New Zealand defeat South Africa by 2-0 in the test series.
