Controversy Around MS Dhoni, Files A Complaint Against Former Business Partners For Financial Fraud of Over Rs 15 Crore

On January 5, the former Indian cricket captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, initiated legal proceedings against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash from Aarka Sports and Management Limited in a Ranchi court. Dhoni has filed a case accusing Mihir and Soumya of engaging in financial fraud with an amount of more than INR 15 crore.

Reports indicate that in 2017, Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash entered into an agreement with Dhoni to create a cricket academy on a global scale. Unfortunately, the management team did not comply with the agreed-upon conditions, leading Dhoni to terminate the agreement in 2021.

Aarka Sports and Management Limited is under obligation to fulfill the terms of the agreement, including the payment of a franchise fee and the sharing of profits, which have not been met thus far.

In the meantime, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has enlisted the representation of Dayanand Singh from Vidhi Associates. Singh has asserted that they were deceived and defrauded by Aarka Sports, prompting them to file a lawsuit against the company for a sum exceeding INR 15 crore.
