Chaos Unleashed: Sunil Gavaskar’s Pitch Rant and Australian Stadiums

Team India is on the cusp of defeating the visitors, England, in the five-match test series. Currently, both teams are playing the fourth match of the series.

However, ahead of the start of the game between the two sides, a lot was said on the Ranchi pitch from the visitors camp, as they were quite surprised, saying that this pitch is not the same as the pitches that were used in the previous three test matches.

Speaking of the same former team, India’s opener Sunil Gavaskar said that he has seen cracks like these on the pitches like Perth in Australia where the ball bounces dangerously, but nothing happens. If this sort of thing happens in India, a lot of things are being said about the pitch.

During day three of the test match, Sunil Gavaskar said, “I have seen cracks in the pitches in Perth, and when the ball hits the crack in Perth, it goes dangerously past your head. But then anything of this sort doesn’t happen. You have to play there. You have to show your guts. But when it happens in India, oh my god, all hell breaks loose.”.

Gavaskar further advised Indian skipper Rohit Sharma to let team India’s lead spinner Ravi Ashwin lead the side out on the field for the final test match, which is set to be played in Dharamshala, as the ace Indian spinner is all set to play his 100th match for India in the test format.

However, Ravi Ashwin gave a phenomenal reply to this request of the former Indian opener, saying, “Sunny bhai, you are being very generous. Thank you so much. However, despite expectations about all such things, I think I am well past all that. But genuinely saying, I am enjoying every single moment I am having with this team.”.
