Celebrating Precision: Ex-England Star Hails Rohit Sharma, R Ashwin for “Excellent Review”

Team India is on the cusp of registering history as they are all set to defeat England in the fourth test match of the ongoing five-match test series between the two teams.

However, in the span of three days, there was one decision that sparked controversy in the ongoing test match between the two teams.

It was the 17th over of England’s innings when Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Joe Root. In the replay, it was shown that the ball pitched outside the leg stump and went on to hit the stump, which forced the umpires to give a decision in India’s favor.

After the decision was made, it sparked controversy with one of the prominent faces of the game, Michael Vaughan. Criticized Hawke’s eye technology over Joe Root’s dismissal.

However, another England’s great who represented England in 36 test matches, Steven Finn, was all praise for Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin for taking an excellent review to dismiss Joe Root.

Steven Finn said, “An excellent review. From the naked eye, to me, it looked like it pitched outside the leg stump, but clearly the drift Ashwin gets means that Root had to depart.”.

Steven Finn also highlighted Ashwin’s celebration, citing the importance of Joe Root’s wicket for both Ashwin and Team India.

Speaking of the match, both Ashwin and Kuldeep rattled through England’s batting line-up and dismissed the visitors for just 145 runs, picking up nine wickets.

On the other hand, the hosts have scored 40 runs and need 152 runs more to win the test match as well as the series. Team India is currently leading the series by 2-1.
