Chahal To Be Dropped From T20 World Cup, Ravi Bishnoi And Kuldeep To Take His Place?

India is continuously falling in their bowling department. From the recently concluded Asia Cup 2022 to the 1st T20I match against Australia, India is seeing a major downfall in their bowling area.

Apart from the pacers like Harshal Patel and Bhuvaneshvar Kumar who are leaking runs to the fullest, the star Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is also struggling for wickets.

Chahal was so expensive during the Asia Cup tournament, on the other hand in the first T20 vs Australia the leggie went for 42 runs in just 3.2 overs for one wicket.

Former Indian batter Wasim Jaffer has said that if the bowler will not regain his lost form, then team India might not take him to the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 happening in Australia.

While having a conversation with ESPNCricinfo, Wasim Jaffer said, “I have seen that when the conditions are against him, he doesn’t seem to have a lot of variety. I will be concerned going into that World Cup with Yuzvendra Chahal as my main spinner. I will be looking at Ravi Bishnoi, he gives you something different.”

Jaffer said that apart from Ravi Bishnoi, India can also consider Kuldeep Yadav who has something different for Australian pitches.

The former opener stated, “Even that one game that he played against Pakistan, I thought he bowled some difficult overs. There is (Ravichandran) Ashwin of course, we know what to expect from him and Chahal. But I will be keen to have a look at Bishnoi and Kuldeep Yadav. If Chahal is bowling like that, I will be worried.”

T20 World Cup 2022 will start on 16th October and India will face its arch-rivals Pakistan on 23 October at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
