Central Contract Update: Haris Rauf’s Restoration Under Consideration.

Pakistan pace sensation Haris Rauf is all set to get his central contract back after the review by the legal team of PCB. An official source for PCB said. The Haris Rauf Central contract was terminated by PCB two days before the start of PSL.

The Haris Rauf contract was terminated because the pacer refused to play a test series against Australia, which they lost by 3-0 in January.

A source close to PCB said that “the legal team is currently reviewing Haris Rauf’s appeal that seeks his contract restoration.”
Rauf is currently ruled out of PSL due to a shoulder dislocation. After opting out of the test series,Rauf went on to play in the Big Bash League in Australia at the same time. This forced the board to suspend his NoC until June this year.

The source said that Haris Rauf submitted his version of why he opted out for the test series against Australia; however, PCB is not quite happy with the comments that were made by Lahore Qualandars owner Sameen Rana in this matter.

Rana said, “Rauf’s our premier bowler, our highest wicket-taker after Shaheen Afridi. To publicly humiliate him and issue a press release announcing the termination of his central contract, I have never seen this happen anywhere,” Rana said in the interview. “I would never treat my employees like that. The employee at least has the right for you to call, email, or message them. None of that happened with Rauf, and it was pathetic. It was really poor management,” Rana added.
