Captain Rashid Khan: The Record-Breaking Trailblazer Of Afghan Breaks This 14 Year Old Record

Afganistan’s spin magician, Rashid Khan, announced his comeback in grand style. The spinner made a remarkable comeback to international cricket after being out of action for quite some time.

The spinner suffered an injury in the 2023 World Cup and underwent surgery, which forced him to stay away from cricketing action for quite some time.

However, upon his comeback in international cricket in a three-match T20 series against Ireland, Rashid Khan immediately made a mark, breaking a 14-year-old record in Afghanistan’s t 20 history.

Rashid Khan recorded phenomenal figures of 4-0-19-3, becoming the best figures for Afghanistan in T20 cricket.

Before Rashid Khan, it was Afghanistan’s skipper, Navroz Mangal, who recorded figures of 4-23-3 against Ireland way back in 2010 in World Cup qualifiers.

Upon his comeback, Rashid picked up wickets from Paul Sterling,Curtis Campher, and Gerath Dalley.
