Breaking News: Team India landed in Delhi following their World Cup victory, Here’s the schedule of the day for the World champions

The Indian cricket team arrived in New Delhi on Thursday morning, flying in on a special Air India plane that was chartered from Barbados. They had spent three days on the Caribbean island following their victory in the T20 World Cup before coming back home with the trophy. The Board of Control for Cricket in India posted a video showing the players removing the trophy from the chartered plane.

A large crowd of supporters greeted the team at the airport. Captain Rohit Sharma led the way out of the airport, holding the trophy. Virat Kohli was warmly welcomed, and the popular player waved to the fans, thanking them for their support.

The Indian cricket team, known as the Men in Blue, had to stay in Barbados for four days after winning a big competition because the airport was closed because of a big storm called Hurricane Beryl. When the weather got better, a special airplane from Air India went to Barbados to bring the team back to India.

After traveling for about 18 hours, the team arrived in India, where many fans had been waiting for a long time to see their favorite players. There were special plans to welcome the team at the airport and at their hotel.

A special cake shaped like the World Cup Trophy was made for the team, and they will cut it when they get to the hotel. Drinks with the colors of the Indian flag are also ready for the whole team. After meeting with the Prime Minister, the team will go to Mumbai for a special parade for the fans, starting from Nariman Point to the Wankhede Stadium, where the team will be honored.

What’s there in team India’s schedule?

Team India departs for Prime Minister Modi’s residence at 9:30 AM.

Following their meeting, they board a private plane to Mumbai.

They then travel by car from the Mumbai airport to the Wankhede Stadium.

A 1-kilometer bus ride takes them to the Wankhede Stadium.

There will be a brief ceremony at the Wankhede, where Rohit Sharma will present the World Cup trophy to BCCI secretary Jay Shah.

In the evening, Team India will leave the Wankhede Stadium.

Team India beat South Africa in the T20 World Cup final on Saturday. Rohit Sharma is now the second captain, after MS Dhoni, to win the T20 World Cup for India. This victory also marks the end of an 11-year drought for an ICC trophy in men’s cricket.

India scored 176 in the final match at Kensington Oval in Barbados. Virat Kohli made the highest score with 76, and then the bowlers took over. South Africa was doing well, needing only 30 runs in the last 30 balls. But Jasprit Bumrah played a crucial role, bowling tightly in the final moments to secure the win for India.

After winning, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja decided to stop playing T20 matches. This was also the end of coach Rahul Dravid’s time with the team.
