Sunrisers Hyderabad Star all-rounder Abhishek Sharma was interrogated in Surat’s Vasu police station in connection with the suicide of 28-year-old model Tanya Singh.
Tanya Singh was a model, living in happy elegance on Vasu Road. Her body was found hanging from the ceiling in her apartment. The suicide note has also not been found in the model’s apartment, which has led to the investigation getting more complicated.
The police interrogated all-rounder Abhishek Sharma after the revelation that the Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder was in contact with the model.
As per the reports, Tanya had sent messages to Abhishek before taking such a tragic step to end her life. This prompted the police to dive deeper into their investigation to find the role of All Rounder in the model’s death, if any.
The police are currently investigating all the evidence, including call details and statements from people close to the model. The police are also investigating from that angle to see if any external factors contributed to her decision to end her life.
The assistant commissioner of police said, “We have so far learned that Abhishek Sharma was friends with the deceased model. More details will be known in the investigation.”
Abhishek Sharma is currently with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. He purchased the Hyderabad franchise in the 2022 mega auction for a whopping price of 6.2 crore. He was part of the under-19 World Cup squad that included Privi Shaw and Shubhman Gill.
