Watch: Rohit Sharma Arrives In Dharamsala In a Private Chopper, Video Goes Viral

Ahead of the fifth Test match in Dharamsala, Indian captain Rohit Sharma made a grand arrival for the game against England on Tuesday, March 5, using a helicopter.

Both the Indian and England squads reached Dharamshala on Sunday, but Rohit Sharma was not with them. The Indian captain was attending the pre-wedding celebration of Anant Ambani in Jamnagar over the weekend.

Rohit Sharma was seen departing for Dharamshala on Monday, but it has been officially confirmed that he arrived in the city on March 5, making use of a helicopter.

Upon his arrival in Dharamshala, the Indian captain received a warm welcome from both the media and fans. He will now proceed to the team camp to initiate his preparations for the upcoming final Test against England.

Even though India has already secured the series, the fifth and final Test holds significance for Rohit Sharma and his team as they aim to accumulate crucial points in the World Test Championship. The Indian team ascended to the top of the standings on March 3 after Australia’s victory against New Zealand.

With 62 points from 8 matches, India has improved its points percentage to 64.58 after the recent victory in Ranchi. However, the top spot for the Indian team in the World Test Championship is not currently assured.

When India faces a defeat against England in the final Test, and Australia secures a victory in the second match against the Blackcaps, the reigning WTC Champions could potentially move to the top of the points table.
