Breaking News: Mitchell Marsh Shares Australia’s Top Order for T20Is vs New Zealand

The mighty Australians are set to take on their arch-rivals Black Caps in a three-match T-20 series, which is set to go underway on February 21 in Wellington.

However, after Australia’s clash against New Zealand, Australian skipper Mitchell Marsh gave some hints about Australia’s top order for the upcoming three-match T20 series.
Marsh revealed that the top three spots in the Australian batting line-up are pretty much set, with David Warner and Travis Head opening the innings for Australia, followed by him batting at number three.

These three have majorly contributed over the years to Australia’s success in the shortest format of the game. Moving ahead, number four and number five slots would be occupied by Glenn Maxwell and Tim David after their blistering performances with the bat in the last series, which Australia played against the West Indies.

However, Marsh did not reveal anything about where Steven Smith would bat in the batting line-up because he said that the teams would be announced at the toss, and he would obviously bat at three with Head and Warner opening the innings for the team.

However, Marsh feels that the kind of line-up that Australia has will allow them to attack the opposition from the very first ball.

The three-match T-20 series will be played on February 21, followed by the two-match test series, which is set to start on February 29.
