Shardul Thakur got severe cramps during the 1st ODIs match, and team management will not want to take risks in the 2nd ODI match because of the upcoming test series. Young pace battery Umran Malik, sitting on the bench, will likely make the place in the second ODIs match against the host if Shardul sits out due to injury. Currently, there is no official announcement from the Indian team management.
Men in blue have lost the first low-scoring encounter against Bangladesh, and the host is leading the series by 1-0.
Now, the Indians will try to win the second match to level the series because they had already lost the previous ODIs series against New Zealand. Another ODIs series loss will damage the confidence of the men in blue ahead of the forthcoming ODIs World Cup 2023.
