Big blow for India at Asia Cup 2022, star all rounder ruled out of the tournament.
According to reports, Indian all rounder Ravindra Jadeja ruled out of Asia Cup due to unknown reasons. The issue is speculated to be injury for his absence.
Indian team has named another slow left arm bowling all rounder Axar Patel as his replacement.
Prior to this, Ravindra Jadeja played both the Group A matches. He played a crucial knock of 35 runs in the high octane clash against Pakistan. He also bowled with an economy less than 6 to restrict Pak batters at a manageable score.
In the second match against Hong Kong, Ravindra Jadeja again delivered a tight spell of 15 runs in 4 over with 1 wicket.
Team India would be disappointed as they lost an in form spin all rounder before the crucial matches of Super 4.
Replacing Jadeja, Axar Patel would join the squad. Axar Patel had a brilliant tour of West Indies where he proved his mettle as a valid allrounder. He can bat with a healthy strike rate and bowl crucial overs for the team.
Team India will play their first match of the Super 4 round on Sunday, 04 September with the winner of Pakistan vs Hong Kong match.
