Pakistan got another major blow in the form of Fakhar Zaman just before the important game against South Africa on 3rd Nov at Sydney in the T20 World Cup 2022. However, he has missed the first two games against India and Zimbabwe due to a knee injury. But he played the last match against the Netherlands, and had scored 20 runs off 16 balls.
After this match his knee injury got exaggerated and he ruled of the reaming match of the tournament.
During any ICC tournament, if any team wants to replace any player due to some severe injury, then they have to get confirmation from the Event Technical Committee, and the request of the Pakistani team is approved by the ETC of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.
“The Event Technical Committee of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 has approved Mohammad Haris as a replacement for Fakhar Zaman in the Pakistan squad. The replacement of a player requires the approval of the Event Technical Committee before the replacement player can be officially added to the squad,” ICC said in a statement.
Young Mohammad Haris is all set to replace Fakhar Zaman in the T20 World Cup. He had played only 1 T20I for Pakistan that is against England this year.
Pakistan will play the most important match today against South Africa at Sydney Ground. They will seriously want to win this game to make themselves in the hunt of Semi final spot.
