Delhi’s long wait to announce a replacement for Harry Brook has finally ended as they signed South African pacer Lizad Willams to replace the English batter.
Harry Brook had earlier pulled out of the IPL due to personal reasons.
This is the first time that Willams is going to feature in the IPL. The pacer had already shown his skill in SA 20, in which he plays for the Joberg Super Kings. In two editions of the SA 20 League, the pacer has so far picked up 20 wickets in 12 matches, with the best figures of 4/26.
Lizzad Willams has also represented South Africa in all three formats. So far, he has played 2 tests, 4 ODIs, and 11 to 20 for proteas.
He has picked up 3,5 and 16 wickets, respectively, across the three formats.
