‘Both Rishabh Pant And Karthik Can Play Against Pakistan If…’, Sunil Gavaskar Bold Statement About Indian Playing XI

Team India has reached Melbourne for their first encounter against Pakistan which will take place on October 23. This match will be played at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Meanwhile, the greatest discussion of wicket-keeper choice between Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant remains the same. Former Indian batter Sunil Gavaskar said there is a way by which both Pant and Karthik can be imposed into the same playing XI. Gavaskar said that if Hardik Pandya can be treated as the fifth bowling option, both these wicket-keepers can be fitted into the same playing XI. Indian Cricket Management is still thinking about the perfect playing XI for this blockbuster contest. While having a conversation on the star sports, Sunil Gavaskar said,” It’s just that maybe, if they decide to go with the six bowlers, with Hardik Pandya being the sixth bowler, then he (Pant) may not able to find a place. “

Gavaskar further added, “But if they decide to go with Hardik Pandya as the fifth bowler, then Rishabh Pant has an opportunity to bat at number six and Karthik maybe at number seven, followed by the four bowlers. So, that could well happen, we just have to wait and see.”
