Big Trouble For India, Along With Rohit Sharma Two Other Players Will Miss The Third ODI; Confirmed Rahul Dravid

The Indian cricket team’s disappointing 2022 has continued as they lost the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh with one game remaining after being defeated by 5 runs in the first match. The fact that skipper Rohit Sharma needed to be taken to the hospital after suffering a thumb injury while fielding at slips, though, was another depressing event from the game.

With one game remaining in the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh after losing the first game by five runs, the Indian cricket team’s dismal 2022 campaign has continued. But another sad moment from the game was when Rohit Sharma, the captain, needed to be taken to the hospital after hurting his thumb while fielding at slips.

Dravid also told in press conference that Rohit’s participation in test series might be under threat.

Dravid said, “Rohit Sharma will miss the 3rd ODI, he will fly back to Mumbai to consult an expert – Kuldeep Sen & Deepak Chahar are out of the series”
He added, “Not sure about the participation of Rohit Sharma in Tests.”

There was a big sigh of relief from Indian cricket fans all around the world when Rohit Sharma himself provided an update on his thumb injury during the post-match presentation ceremony and stated that there were no fractures.

Captain Rohit during post match presentation said, “It (thumb injury) isn’t too great. Some dislocation and some stitches. Fortunately, not a fracture and so, I was able to bat.”

Kuldeep Sen was already declared injured before the second game began, and Deepak Chahar only bowled a maximum of three over.

India’s skipper Rohit Sharma earned the hearts of cricket fans all around the world for his brave and energetic efforts despite India losing to Bangladesh in the second One-Day International at the Sher-E-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur.

Rohit suffered a hand injury during the game’s second over while fielding at second slip after a lost catch. He was then sent to the hospital right away for scans. He returned with a bandaged thumb and skipped opening the batting in favour of Virat Kohli.

Resuming the game, Bangladesh amassed a first-inning total of 271/7 thanks to Mehidy Hasan’s first ODI hundred and a record 148-run partnership for the seventh wicket with Mahmadullah. India lost 4 early wickets while chasing the score. For the fifth wicket, Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel put together a century stand before both were quickly dismissed. India lost the game by 5 runs despite ROhit Sharma’s miraculous 28-ball 51, which he bravely made while batting at position nine.
