England cricket team has got a major setback as the star pacer Reece Topley has been ruled out of the tournament due to an ankle injury.
The left-arm seamer injured himself while having a warm-up ahead of the practice game against Pakistan. The match was played in Brisbane on 17th October (Monday). After the ankle twist, the medical team of the England Cricket Board decided not to move ahead with Topley for the T20 World Cup, eventually, he was ruled out of the tournament. The seamer was added to the T20I team after six years. In the 2016 T20 World Cup, he played a match against India. After that, the bowler went down with many injuries and fractures which ultimately kept him away from cricket. England is already missing some hard-hitting players like Jonny Bairstow and Jofra Archer. Now the omission of Topley is a big loss for Jos Buttler and the company.
As per the reports, the English Cricket Board has roped in Tymal Mills as the replacement for Topley.
