BCCI’s Call For Official Partner Rights For Board Events, Check Full Report

In the ever-evolving world of cricket, where every match is a spectacle and every tournament a saga, the role of official partners holds immense significance. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the epicenter of cricketing excellence, has recently made an exciting announcement. They have opened doors for entities eager to secure the prestigious partner rights for BCCI events. Let’s delve into this thrilling development.

The BCCI, in its pursuit of excellence, has decided to invite bids from entities interested in acquiring partner rights for BCCI events. This move is a testament to the board’s commitment to enhancing the cricketing experience for fans and stakeholders alike.

The BCCI has released a Request for Quotation (RFQ) document to kickstart this process. This comprehensive document outlines all the terms and conditions governing the tender process. Entities interested in participating in this exciting opportunity can access the RFQ document by paying a non-refundable fee of INR 1,00,000.

Time is of the essence, and the BCCI has set a deadline for acquiring the RFQ documents. Interested parties have until September 13, 2023, to secure their copy of the RFQ. This deadline underscores the board’s commitment to a streamlined and efficient selection process.

The BCCI, while committed to transparency and fairness, reserves the right to change the bidding process at any stage without providing a specific reason. This flexibility ensures that the board can adapt to evolving circumstances, benefiting the cricketing community.

The BCCI’s journey towards excellence doesn’t stop with partner rights. Recently, the board issued an Invitation to Tender (ITT) for Media Rights to the BCCI International Matches and Domestic Matches from September 2023 to March 2028.

In a closely watched e-auction conducted on August 31, 2023, Viacom 18 Media Private Limited emerged as the successful bidder. They secured the Media Rights for the five years, with a cumulative figure of INR 5,963 crores. This significant achievement reflects the growing appeal of Indian cricket on the global stage.

India’s international cricket calendar is brimming with excitement. The upcoming cycle will see the Indian cricket team in action across three formats, comprising 25 Tests, 27 ODIs, and 36 T20Is. With a per-match value of approximately Rs 67.76 crore, this deal marks a substantial increase from the previous cycle’s Rs 60 crore per-match value.

The BCCI’s call for Official Partner Rights and the successful acquisition of Media Rights underscores the board’s commitment to the growth and development of cricket. As the cricketing world watches with bated breath, this dynamic journey promises to take Indian cricket to unprecedented heights.
