BCCI Is All Set To Host The Women’s IPL, Check Full Details With The Venue And Base Price

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is ready to announce the names of five franchises participating in the Women’s IPL on January 25. The women’s IPL is expected to be held from March 5 to 23. However, the board had clarified in the tender document that it was not bound to accept the highest bid. The BCCI had last week drifted tenders inviting bids for ownership and operation of five franchises to feature in the women’s IPL.

In the Invitation for Tender (ITT) document, the BCCI stated that a single bidder could be a candidate for more than one city. The BCCI has shortlisted 10 cities and grounds with their respective capacities in the tender. The list includes Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Dharamshala, Guwahati, Indore, Lucknow and Mumbai. Three grounds have been shortlisted for Mumbai, and the BCCI says one of the three will be used depending on availability and other factors.

According to the reports, the auction will be held in February. The documents sent to the Indian players, in that BCCI has asked both capped and uncapped cricketers to register online to be entered in the player auction register. Its deadline has been kept on January 26 at 5 pm.

In the auction for the Women’s IPL, the base price of the capped players has been divided into 3 categories. This includes Rs 50, 40 and 30 lakhs. If we talk about the base price of uncapped players, it has been kept at Rs 20 and Rs 10 lakh.
