India is taking on Bangladesh in the first test match of the two-match test series where Indian Wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant has created an amazing record on his name.
India did not have a great start and was struggling 48/3 when Virat Kohli left the crease scoring just one run. Soon after Kohli’s dismissal, Rishabh Pant started playing aggressively and scored 46 runs in 45 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes.
During the inning of 46 runs, Pant not only completed the 4000 runs in test cricket but also became the fastest Indian batter to smash 50 sixes in the longest format of the game.
Apart from it, Pant is the 8th Indian player to hit 50 sixes in Test Cricket. Before him, Virendra Sehwag, MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Kapil Dev, Sourav Ganguly, and Ravindra Jadeja have 50 sixes in the longest format of the game.
In 2022, Pant will be India’s top batter in test cricket. He has scored 534 runs in the last 7 innings of test cricket in which he has scored two tons and three fifties.
