Pakistani cricket team skipper Babar Azam has been receiving plenty of criticism on social media platforms from fans and former cricketers. Under the captaincy of Babar Azam, the Pakistani team went to the final of the Asia Cup 2022; after this cup, they played the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 but haven’t won any tournament.
The main downfall of the Pakistani team came after the world cup match, where they lost to England by 3-0 in the home test series. Recently New Zealand toured Pakistan for two test matches which were drawn, but the green army lost the three-match ODI series against New Zealand by 2-1.
Speaking on the Babar Azam, former Pakistani legendary cricketer stated that we don’t need an enemy because we have Imran Khan, Mike Brierley or Javed Miandad. Give him time before labeling him as the “best captain”.
“Babar Azam’s captaincy is under criticism these days; in this difficult time, a strong hand of support came on his shoulder. We don’t need any enemy; we are self-sufficient; stop making fun of yourself; if you have Imran Khan, Javed Miandad, or Mike Brierley sitting next to you, then you will understand Babar Azam has a 2-3 years chance. He will prove to be the best captain”, said a Pakistani legend to Cricket Pakistan.
Wasim Akram also praised the veteran pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi and added that he has leadership skills but no need to hurry; he made his team champion in PSL.
“Shaheen Afridi has leadership skills, but there is no need to hurry; he made Lahore Qalandars PSL champions, but now he is the national team”, a further Pakistani legend had added.
