Australia Beefs Up As These 4 Giants Added To The Squad Before T20 World Cup 2022

The Australian Cricket Team is looking to defend the T20 World Cup title that they won last year beating New Zealand in the final. The pressure is even more on the Australian side as the 8th edition of the T20 World Cup is to be hosted by the Aussies only.

Before the start of the T20 World Cup 2022 on October 16, the Australian team does want to leave any stone to win the T20 World Cup again and for the same, the team is continuously playing the bilateral T20 series.

Recently, Australians played a 3-match T20I series against India where they lost the battle 2-1. Now the Kangaroos are all set to host a 2-match T20I series against the West Indies. Unlike India, this time Australia will play with their full-fledged team.

After having a good rest, the deadly David Warner is set to come back along with their other 3 giants – Marcus Stoinis, Mitchell Marsh, And Mitchell Starc. The young Australian all-rounder Cameron Green will get another chance after a cracking series against India where he scored 2 fifties.

Former Australian batsman and the chairman of the Australian Selection Panel, George Bailey has said that the T20I series against the West Indies will be crucial as a team will have a good rehearsal before the T20 World Cup.
