Asheh 2023: Pat Cummins Reveals His Playing XI For 4th Test, Makes One Huge Change

The fourth Test match of the Ashes 2023 between England and Australia will be played from July 19 at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Manchester. For the same, Australian captain Pat Cummins has confirmed that the Aussie team will have a huge change for the upcoming game.

Cummins has confirmed that Australia is all set to drop Scott Boland who does not have a good performance in the Ashes 2023. At the expense of Boland, the management is ready to welcome the experienced pacer Josh Hazelwood. Cummins stated that Australia could also afford to miss the spinner Todd Murphy in this game.

Australia’s pace attack with Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood is already formidable. They may also bring back Michael Neser, who has been in good form with the bat for Glamorgan. Neser recently scored an impressive and unbeaten career-best 176 in the County Championship. Someone like Neser could make a huge difference with his all-round abilities.

While talking to the media, Australian captain said,”Josh will come in for Scott Boland, and the top order will stay the same,” said Cummins ahead of the Test. Part of the conversation is “how do two allrounders fit in, is spin going to be important this week?”

Australia has another option in Cameron Green, who was replaced by Mitchell Marsh in the last Test match. Marsh performed brilliantly with the bat at Headingley and he is likely to retain his place in the playing XI.
