Kent had dominated the game over the first two days, scoring 301 runs in the first innings and bowling Surrey out for just 145. Alongside Matthew Foakes, Arshdeep also dismissed Australia’s Daniel Worrall for 12.

In addition to his bowling contributions, Arshdeep made a valuable contribution with the bat in Kent’s second innings. Batting at number 11, he remained unbeaten on 12 off 11 deliveries, including two fours.

Arshdeep credited India’s head coach Rahul Dravid for playing a key role in his move to Kent.
