Another Big Blow For The Australian Team Just Ahead Of Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Australia’s veteran pacer Mitchell Starc is likely to miss the first test match of the upcoming Border-Gavaskar trophy and is aiming to fit in the second test encounter against India. He was injured in the Boxing Day test match against South Africa.

Mitchell Starc provided this information and explained that he would miss the first test match and try to fit in for the second test match.

“That’s probably likely that I will miss the first Test. We’ll see how we’re placed at the end of the month. Hopefully, I will be there for the second Test if they want to play me. Maybe I can make some footmarks for Gazza (Lyon) or something. We’ll see how the finger is,” explained veteran pacer Mitchell Strac.

This is the second major blow for the Australian team in the upcoming test series because earlier, their young all-rounder Cameroon Green was sidelined due to an injury and is now a veteran pacer. After missing both players, all the reasonability of the pace attack will be managed by Pat Cummins.

The pitch of the Nagpur is full turning wicket, so Nathan Lyon and Jason Krezja can be selected in the squad for the first test match.

Looking at the upcoming world test championship 2021-23, the Indian team will try their best to win the series or draw because there is the only way to make the place in the finals against Australia.
