The DC star spin bowler shared his views on his skipper Rishabh Pant’s return to the IPL. Kuldeep Yadav said that he would love to have Rishabh in his team, irrespective of the format.
Rishabh Pant has been at his best in this year’s IPL after his return to competitive cricket. The wicketkeeper scored a 24-ball 41, helping his side register a six-wicket win against LSG.
After the match, Kuldeep said that he is happy to see the progress that Rishabh Pant has made in the last year, and he is very happy to see him in action.
Kuldeep said, “I am very happy with him. I have been seeing his progress for the last year. The way he is batting right now, in his own style, I am having fun watching it. At first he was a bit nervous, but he has overcome it and played some fine knocks, which is a bonus to our side because you always want a player like him in your team, irrespective of the format.”
Kuldeep Yadav also talked about his magical delivery, which he bowled to dismiss Nicholas Pooran.
Speaking about the same, Kuldeep Yadav said, “It was a very good ball. A proper googly. It was of good length and area. And the ball spun a bit. My plan was to bowl that delivery, and I had set the field accordingly as well. And luckily, it paid off. When you get such a wicket off a good delivery, then you celebrate it. It was a good delivery, and celebration was warranted.”
