Afghanistan Names T20I Squad for Ireland Series: This Star Player Back in Action Ahead Of IPL 2024.

Afganistan’s spin magician Rashid Khan has finally made his return to cricket. The star-leg spinner will be leading Afghanistan in their upcoming series against Ireland.

Rashid Khan has been out of action since the One Day World Cup 2023, which was being played in India. Rashid Khan was dealt a back injury and has been out of action since then.

Rashid Khan’s return will not only boost Afghanistan, but it will also be a major boost for his IPL franchise, the Gujrat Titans. Rashid Khan missed PSL and BBL due to the same injury.

In Rashid Khan’s absence, Ibrahim Zadran fulfilled the captaincy duties. Under his captaincy, the team played matches against India, Sri Lanka, and the UAE.
This is Afghanistan’s last series before the 20th World Cup.

Speaking on his return, Rashid Khan said, “The plan is to represent the country in the upcoming series (T20 against Afghanistan), and the training has been underway. Today was the second day, and thankfully it went well, and I hope that the following few days will also be well so that I can wear the national jersey again and continue to do well for my country.”

Apart from Rashid Khan Mujeeb ur Rehman is also set to make his comeback. The three-match Twenty20 series between the two sides will start on March 15.
