‘Absolutely Shameless And Unethical’, Venkatesh Prasad Slams ACC And Sri Lanka-Bangladesh Cricket Board To Support The Reserve Day For India-Pakistan Match

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has opted to have a reserve day for the India vs. Pakistan Super Four match in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 due to the threat of rain over this highly anticipated clash. However, this decision has faced criticism from former Indian fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad, who has voiced his disapproval of the ACC’s choice to provide special treatment for only one match in the tournament. The arch-rivals are set to face each other in Colombo on Sunday but the weather forecast suggests rain chances of about 70%.

When the news about adding a reserve day for the India and Pakistan match popped up, the former Indian bowler Venkatesh Prasad did not keep him calm and launched some brutal words against ACC. He called this absolutely shameless’, ‘a mockery’ and ‘unethical’

Prasad posted it on Twitter and wrote, “If true this is absolute shamelessness. The organisers have made a mockery and it is unethical to have a tournament with rules being different for the other two teams. In the name of justice, it will only be fair if it is abandoned the first day, may it rain harder on the second day and these malicious plans will not succeed.”

Prasad came with another two tweets against Bangladesh and the Sri Lanka Cricket Board who actually supported the decision of having a reserve day for the India-Pakistan clash but did not ask anything for themselves.
