Aakash Chopra Predicts The England’s Playing XI For The Fourth Test Against India

Former Indian batter and one of the most famous commentators Aakash Chopra has predicted the England playing XI for the fourth Test against India.

Aakash Chopra predicts that James Anderson may not feature in England’s lineup for the fourth Test against India. He suggests there’s a possibility of Mark Wood being rested as well in the crucial match starting on February 23 in Ranchi.

With a 1-2 back in the ongoing five-match series against India, England will look to secure a victory in the upcoming penultimate game to stay in contention for an overall series win.

Both James Anderson and Mark Wood have participated in two matches each so far, with Anderson sitting out the first Test and Wood taking a rest during the second match.

While speaking on his official YouTube Channel, Aakash Chopra said,”The Ranchi pitch is a black-soil pitch and it keeps getting slow, slower, slowest. This pitch doesn’t have bounce and pace. So there won’t be much help for fast bowlers here. I feel Jimmy Anderson won’t play and Mark Wood might also not play. They might play two new bowlers.”

Chopra said that England has Ollie Robinson and Gus Atkinson as seam-bowling options and England can include an extra spinner in the lineup for the upcoming Test.

Chopra added,”If Jimmy Anderson doesn’t play, Ollie Robinson might play. He is a very decent bowler. Gus Atkinson is also with this team, otherwise. They can play Shoaib Bashir as well if they wish. I feel the attack will be spin-heavy in this game.”
