Aakash Chopra Picked 5 Best T20 Players Of 2022; Some Shocking Name In The List

The year 2022 is about to end, and this year brings some good and bad memories for cricketing fans. Only disappointments come into the bag of the Indian fans, but the Indian team have a got exceptionally talented T20 player in the form of Surya Kumar Yadav and also got to see the premium performance of Virat Kohli, who has been going through some rough patches in previous years.

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra picked the five best batters in 2022. He gave the 1st position to Suryakumar Yadav (India), and at the 2nd spot, he provided the name of Pakistani wicketkeeper batter Mohammed Rizwan. On the 3rd spot, he named Indian veteran batter Virat Kohli and Zimbabwean all-rounder Sikander Raza named as the fourth man while New Zealand batter Devon Conway was rated as 5th batter.

Further talking on this, Chopra hailed Virat Kohli for his outstanding performance in 2022 and highlighted the numbers of Virat in difficult situations.

“Nobody would have imagined that Virat Kohli would find a place on this list. He struggled for form for years, and his performances were also quite underwhelming in the IPL. Everything was going wrong for him. However, by the end of 2022, he has turned things around remarkably, “Aakash Chopra said.

However, Aakash hasn’t picked Pakistani Skipper Babar Azam in his list of top five players. Further, he explained that Babar should be the 5th batter, but the number of the Kiwi batter was exceptionally better than the Babar, so he picked Devon.

“Going by the stats, Babar Azam should be the No.5, but I do not include him in my list. He has scored 735 runs in 26 matches, his average is only 32, and his strike rate is 123. Sorry! But I can’t take him in my team. I include Devon Conway’s name instead at his place. Conway’s numbers in T20Is in 2022 are unbelievable. He would have overtaken Suryakumar Yadav to claim the top position,” said Chopra.
